We are thrilled to welcome back WLDFLWRS to perform another full headline set. Another brilliant Sunday afternoon of live music.
This show is part of the South Town blues festival, jointly organised with our good friends and neighbours Southtown. May 8th to 10th 2026.WLDFLWRS are Jack Blackman (guitar and vocals), Wes Finch (bass and vocals), Chris Quirk (drums and vocals) and Jono Wright (guitar and vocals). Despite emerging from rural Warwickshire you could be mistaken for thinking they come from 70s Laurel Canyon with their sun drenched harmonies and alt country stylings. Whilst respectfully acknowledging the direction of their forebears, they offer their own distinctive and compelling new sound.Last November WLDFLWRS performed their highly acclaimed 'Last Waltz' show, celebrating the iconic concert and the songs of The Band to a packed Birmingham Town Hall with special guests including PP Arnold, Nigel Clake (Dodgy) and many more.Don't miss out on seeing them in the intimate setting of Temperance.Phone: 01926 730102Email: mail@temperance.bar

The Humber - Acoustic Music Session
Humber Road, Coventry CV3 1BA
Free Sunday afternoon music session.
Albany Theatre (The Fureys Farewell Tour)Albany Road, Coventry CV5 6JQAfter 2 previous performances, THE FUREYS will play their last ever concert here as part of their FAREWELL TOUR on Sunday 10th May. Legends of Irish music & song, The FUREYS - renowned for their hit songs ‘I will love you’, ‘When you were sweet 16’, ‘The Green fields of France’, ‘The old man’, ‘Red rose café’, ‘From Clare to here’, ‘Her father didn’t like me anyway’, ‘Leaving Nancy’, ‘Steal away’ etc - taketo our stage for the final time as part of their FAREWELL TOUR.The oldest of the brothers, Eddie Furey left home in 1966 and travelled to Scotland at the time of the great folk revival where he met and shared accommodation with then unknown folk singers Billy Connolly and Gerry Rafferty. In 1972, Gerry Rafferty wrote ‘Her father didn’t like me anyway’ for Eddie. BBC Radio 1 presenter, the late John Peel made it his single of the year. They are particularly proud of their UK chart success with songs such as I Will Love You and When You Were Sweet Sixteen, which in turn helped bring Irish folk and traditional music to a completely new audience. The band made their Top of the Pops debut in 1981.
Eddie Furey recalls how “many musicians have told us we influenced them after hearing a record from their parents or grandparents’ collection”. Dave Stewart of The Eurythmics has credited Eddie with teaching him his first chords on the guitar while still a teenager. Eddie would return the compliment by joining Dave on stage in Paris for a jam during Dave’s wedding to Bananarama’s Siobhan Fahey.

Wren play the music of the American South, songs and tunes that crossed the ocean and came back better. Lyrical, haunting, strange, beautiful, enchanting - music that will stay with you. Bob Powell and Jimmy Medici play dobro, slide guitar, banjo, bowed dulcimer, mandolin and double bass behind the stunning vocals of singer and whistle player Jennie Ives:
“…. like grit boiled in honey, amazing swing and syncopation, a completely fresh approach to the tradition. Brilliant and one to watch. The missing link between Eliza Carthy and Alison Krauss.”
