This will be very special.

We welcome back not one but TWO Temperance favourites. Telling the story of the folk revival. Dylan, Carthy, Drake, Martyn, Jansch and more Troubadours of the folk revival - a finger style anthology

A rare and poignant evening exploring the sonic landscape , songs and guitar stylings of Martin Carthy, Bert Jansch, Richard Thompson, Anne Briggs, Jackson C Frank , Bob Dylan , Vashti Bunyan, John Martyn, Nic Jones , Nick Drake and many more…

It’s the mid-60s and across the UK’s emerging scene of folk clubs, pub back rooms and university campuses a new movement is forming …

… Steeped in centuries of storytelling, and underpinned by a new wave of guitar virtuosity, something vibrant and alternative is taking root…

Reimagined now for a 21st Century audience, travel with contemporary folk guitarists Tobias Ben Jacob and Chris Cleverley on a journey spanning the UK, from the bustling shimmer of Soho’s Greek Street and the green pastures of Oxford University to the gothic facades of Edinburgh via North Yorkshire fishing towns and West Midlands industrial sprawl.

With dexterous, duelling fingerstyle guitar and intricate vocal harmony, join these two singular musicians as they recall the lively stages of Les Cousins, Sandy Bells, The Jug of Punch, The Bluebell and many more iconic folk landmarks.

A musical, historical journey through the lens of some of our iconic folk pioneers, from the British trailblazers of the 60s, American Global Sensations and the new wave of 70s artists that followed in their footsteps.

With a back catalogue of original music applauded by The Sunday Times, BBC 6 Music and the Telegraph these two stars of the new British Folk Scene invite you to celebrate the timeless songcraft, iconic artistry, and breathtaking guitar stylings of a musical era that shaped the path of modern acoustic guitar music.
