Churchfitters have played Temperance many times before And they are brilliant! We can't wait to have then play again. A real treat!
Why “Churchfitters”? Nobody knows! They’re not fitters and have absolutely nothing to do with churches. The name’s origin is lost in the mists of time but there is one aspect that suits them perfectly - its quirkiness.
When your array of instruments includes a motorcycle petrol tank, a musical saw and a Mercedes Benzouki made from hubcaps there’s little point worrying if the name makes sense! Saucepan dulcimer, glass harp,...

Albany Theatre (Sarah McQuaid)Albany Rd, Coventry CV5 6JQ
Admission £16
Sarah McQuaid’s lush, velvety voice combines with her engaging personality and “brilliant musicianship” (fRoots) on acoustic and electric guitars, keyboards and (occasionally) drum to create a truly immersive experience. Her live performances are full of warmth, wit, and intimacy, and have earned her loyal followings on both sides of the Atlantic.Born in Spain, raised in Chicago, holding dual Irish and American citizenship and now settled in rural England, she brings the eclecticism of her background to her “captivating, unorthodox songwriting” (PopMatters) and choice of material. From contemplative ballads to playful blues to atmospheric instrumentals, Sarah’s music invites reflection, connection, and a deep appreciation of the quiet power of a well-crafted song.In the words of one audience member: “Sarah is a truly impressive artist who takes you on a journey through storytelling, blending a variety of musical genres and instruments with ease and creativity. Her lyrics are down-to-earth yet incredibly captivating. Attending her concert feels like diving into a book of short stories — some resonate deeply, some spark your imagination, others make you pause and reflect, and a few bring tears or spontaneous laughter. Sarah’s connection with the audience is both gentle and profound. You don’t just watch a performance — you become part of it, part of the story she’s telling. … To anyone considering seeing her live: go. It’s worth every second. You’ll leave with your heart full and your soul touched — guaranteed

Temperance (True Foxes SOLD OUT)33 Bath Street, Leamington Spa CV31 3AFSOLD OUT - follow link to join waiting list:Phone: 01926 730102Email: mail@temperance.bar
True Foxes are one of our favourite bands. Always hugely entertaining evenings, they are rising stars in the folk world. Next stop Wembley
Having performed over 800 shows since forming in 2019, True Foxes are an acclaimed alt-country/Americana cousin duo from Cornwall, rapidly gaining recognition across the UK and internationally.
Led by Amie’s powerful vocals and soulful songwriting, often compared to Laura Marling and Brandi Carlile, the duo blend acoustic guitar with Chloe’s ethereal harmonies and melodic bass lines. Their honest storytelling, natural chemistry, and warm sisterly banter take audiences on an emotional journey
Their debut album, Howl (2024), received widespread acclaim and extensive radio support, being named Americana Album of the Month by The Country Mile Radio and UK Country Radio, alongside significant airplay across the UK and internationally. The album earned glowing reviews from AmericanaUK, Rocking Magpie, and Fatea Magazine, and saw the duo recognised as BBC Artist of the Week across eight territories.
True Foxes entered 2025 with a sold-out headline tour, followed by a summer of main-stage festival performances including Between the Trees, Paradhis, Tunes in the Park, OceanFest, and Sidmouth Folk Festival. In the autumn, they collaborated with folk legend Steve Knightley, recording vocals for the Winter Yards album and performing live with the Winter Yards Band across 24 cities.
Returning to their roots in early 2026, the duo will be performing across 21 Cornish venues, including a church tour alongside singer Will Keating, performing songs such as Cornwall my Home, as showcased on BBC Spotlight (2025). They will then be hitting the road again in April for their album launch tour following the release of their highly anticipated second album, Just a Woman, coming out in March 2026.
Upcoming festival performances include Ely Folk Festival, Fisherman’s Friends Festival, Beardy Folk, The Magpies Festival, and The Brasenose Fringe, with many more dates to be announced.
