Matinee Concert

Caitlin Krisko & The Broadcast (Acoustic Duo) offers a stripped-down, emotionally charged take on the band’s roots-rock sound, spotlighting the commanding vocals of Caitlin Krisko alongside guitarist Aaron Austin. The duo delivers soulful performances steeped in blues, Americana, and classic rock influences, creating an immersive listening-room experience that feels both powerful and deeply personal.

Described by Rolling Stone as “one of the best-kept vocal secrets of the Southeast,” Krisko brings the same vocal intensity and storytelling that has earned her full band critical acclaim across the US and UK, translated beautifully into an intimate acoustic setting. Since the band’s transformational rebrand in 2021, the duo has become a favorite for venues seeking high-impact performances with a smaller footprint.

In 2024, the duo highlighted material from the band’s self-produced EP Blueprints, a soulful and anthemic release praised for its raw vulnerability and emotional depth. Songs like “Haunted By You,” which topped Spotify’s Blues Ballads playlist, shine in the duo format, allowing audiences to connect closely with the lyrics and melodies. Their upcoming full-length album Heirloom (out spring 2026) continues that momentum, with select songs thoughtfully adapted for acoustic performance.

With growing international recognition, Caitlin Krisko & the Broadcast have opened for The Wallflowers, Mavis Staples, Marcus King, Blackberry Smoke, Samantha Fish, Robert Randolph, and Margo Price cementing the acoustic duo as a versatile and compelling way to experience the heart of Caitlin Krisko & The Broadcast in its most distilled and emotionally resonant form.

The Bear Pit Theatre welcomes back Warwickshire-based folk-rock favourites Meet On The Ledge. The band are celebrating thirty-three-and-a-third years together with their ‘Third of a Century’ Tour.

Founder members Ron Holmes and Allen Maslen still remain from when MOTL began as a folk duo in 1992. Today they are a five-piece band, augmented by keyboard player Steve Bird, drummer Bo Davies and Craig Sunderland on bass.

Keyboardist Steve has an impressive pedigree, having played keys for 1960s chart topper Eden Kane (“Well I Ask You”) and 70s chart topper Don Fardon (“Indian Reservation”) as well as being in the backing band for the legendary Marty Wilde.

Drummer Bo was lead percussionist for Wasps Rugby Club at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry, and was also a founder member of festival favourites Sambassadors of Groove.

Bassist Craig has a growing reputation as one of the finest multi-instrumentalists on the UK folk circuit. His recently released solo album ‘The Flamebearer’ is receiving rave reviews.

Critics and reviewers have tried many times to pigeonhole MOTL’s music with varying degrees of success. The band’s favourite description of their music is “Big Country in a bar brawl with Thin Lizzy” although they are perhaps best known for their gentler material, such as their original lifeboat epic “The Mary Stanford of Rye” which has become an international folk classic in its own right.

This concert will showcase the various styles and influences that have helped the band become a favourite on the UK folk festival circuit, including their own self-penned material, high octane arrangements of traditional folk songs, and a few snippets from their hugely successful Pink Floyd tribute set, which toured the UK throughout 2023 and 2024.

Tin Music & Arts (Malin Lewis + Madrigirl)

Units 1 - 4, The Canal Basin, Coventry CV1 4LY

Tickets £13.20 incl booking fee

In a trailblazing new solo work, innovator - award winning - multi-instrumentalist Malin Lewis deep dives into a hypnotic envisioned world of ancient Scottish folk music on fiddle and a newly invented, self made bagpipe.

Exploring laments, improvisation, circular melody, jigs and reels, Malin performs an entrancing cycle of melodies that deconstruct and re-define the traditions they grew up within

Having toured across the UK, Canada and Europe, Malin released their celebrated debut album 'Halocline' in May 2024 on Hudson Records. A Halocline is a visible layer that forms between salt and fresh water and is home to a unique microbial ecosystem.

Malin's unique timbre is born from the deep connection that comes from making and composing for their own instrument. Their one of a kind two-octave Smallpipe creates a whole new world of sound, captivating audiences at every opportunity.

Inspired by the likes of Martyn Bennett, Duncan Chisholm and Sharron Shannon their music is as lively as it is thought provoking and sensitive. Recently Malin has been recording music for The Outrun starring Saoirse Ronan, composing for contemporary dance and theatre and has been learning the tradition of the extinct Finnish Bagpipes..

Tree House Bookshop (The Brothers Gillespie)

4 The Square, Kenilworth CV8 1EB

£17.34 incl booking fee:

Absolutely thrilled to have The Brothers Gillespie come and play in Kenilworth! An opportunity to hear them in a small, intimate space.

Described by Folk Radio UK as ‘weaving an especially compelling magic’, and 'showing British acoustic music in its best possible light’, Northumbrian duo The Brothers Gillespie make music that is animated by lyrical songwriting, fine fingerstyle guitar playing, multi-instrumental musicianship and ‘the glorious tones of their blood harmony’ (Sam Lee).

Brothers James and Sam Gillespie found their sound growing up in the fells and valleys of Northumberland, their songs often describing relationships with wild places and the experience of finding oneself in a world alive with soul. The music comes to them most strongly when walking in the borderlands with their packs and instruments which remains a regular practice for them. This spirit is channeled into their live performances which have a rare and intimate energy, both ethereal and earthy, romantic and radical. The brothers have travelled far and wide with their music and have played at Cambridge and Sidmouth Folk Festivals and opened for Lankum and Sam Lee. In 2021 they featured in the English Heritage ‘Songs of England’ recording series that appeared on BBC Radio 4. The release of their new album ‘The Merciful Road’ (‘pure magic’, Living Tradition) in Spring 2022 saw them embark on their most extensive national tour to date.

‘The Merciful Road’ was recorded in a cottage by the banks of the river Tweed and like their previous album ‘The Fell’, it blends rootsy, acoustic elements to create a rich warm sound with a touch of vintage magic. In some ways it is an album about finding the thread of love and belonging in a world that seems to be nonetheless unravelling.

The brothers emerge from the time of lockdowns with a yet greater reverence for the joy and privilege of being with an audience in real time and spac

Temperance are delighted to host this fundraising event. 100% of proceeds will go to to community organisations in memory of Stephen Boyer

The Feel Good Festival Leamington is run by RYTC Creatives CIC (The RYTC) and is held annually at the SYDNI Community Centre in Sydenham, Leamington.

Our former Head of Music, Stephen Boyer, enthusiastically encouraged children and young people to get involved in music and art, and from that grow and develop their creative abilities. He laid the foundations for the activities and workshops that are integral to our festival.

The next Feel Good Festival is on Saturday 28th March 2026.

We’re delighted to announce that our Temperance Cafe evening show will feature Kevin Dempsey as headline, with Tu-Kay and Ryan as support.

Kevin and Tu-Kay & Ryan were Stephen's favourites and are simply fabulous musicians!

100% of proceeds from ticket sales, additional voluntary donations and raffle tickets to win an Art Busk by Rupam Barthakur will go to making sure that children and young people get involved in music and art.

A band featuring one of the most accomplished and exciting young singer-songwriters and guitarists on the roots scene today. Having cut his teeth in his teens trading licks with such luminaries as Paul Jones and The Blues Band, Jack Blackman has been described as ‘exceptional’ by Bob Harris, and folk legend Martin Simpson recently marvelled, ‘At last! A brilliant young guitarist coming through’.
